Today, with the launch of the new portal begins a new era in the history of eSafety Label! More than just a change of skin, this new portal represents a full rethinking of the Accreditation process, along with a series of new features!

From a research programme in seven countries, throughout the past seven years eSafety Label has grown into a full fledged pan-European accreditation system, going even beyond the geographic borders of our continent. Thanks to our Ministry and industry partners, eSafety Label has not only bridged the gap in terms of available assessment and accreditation tools for schools in the field of online safety, but it has also grown year in, year out.eSL in numbers

We are currently boasting a vibrant community of almost 6,500 teachers, who have contributed to the Forum discussions with over 900 posts, questions and conversations on the topic of online safety! A total of 135 schools coming from 38 countries have been awarded almost 2,100 labels, which can be further split as follows.

Put in other terms, all this means that the online safety of over 160,000 students has been improved thanks to the eSafety Label and we intend to grow exponentially, as out tools and services improve.

What’s next?

We also welcome a new project under the umbrella of the eSafety Label brand, called eSafetyLabel+: Become an eSafety Label Champion! The 18 months Erasmus+ project aims to empower a select group of teachers and heads of schools to create a series of online safety resources and to become Ambassadors in their communities and on a national level promoting better online safety practices among their peers. We invite you to visit the brand new eSafety Label + section on the portal to find out more about the Ambassadors and to discover the first Intellectual Output of the project!
